Make It Happen

The next Airport Meeting is Tuesday October 11 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We need everyone to show up and make your voices heard
Marriott RTP
4700 Guardian Drive, Durham, NC

You can help get the word out by printing and distributing Our Call To Action Flyer

If you want to see these lands preserved and open for recreation, we need your support. RDU is currently taking comments on their plan. We need people to comment and say they support preserving our green space and using them for recreation. Please take the time to make your voice heard.

Tell the RDU Airport Authority (RDU AA) that you:

  • OPPOSE a runway built closer to William B. Umstead State Park
  • OPPOSE a quarry built next to William B. Umstead State Park on environmental sensitive lands that drain into our Park and into Crabtree Creek
  • OPPOSE the destruction of the forested lands off of Old Reedy Creek Road that are adjacent to Umstead Park and Crabtree Creek
  • SUPPORT the RDU Forest Trail Center
  • SUPPORT an extended, detailed community involvement in planning the land use on all RDU airport lands on the side near William B. Umstead State Park, including Lake Crabtree County Park and lands off of Old Reedy Creek Road
